Happy birthday Pam. You must be a real saint for putting up with your merry little band of miscreants the way you do! Tell Dave and CBJ they better be darned nice to you or I'll come up there and kick their butts!

Coupla pics from our Northern Minnesota snow boarding trip. The weather didn't suck ! Not bad, for a couple of 50 year olds, eh.

With some of the new developments here at 24HCF, my interest in this forum in general (NOT the Deer Camp thread, but the forum in general) has been seriously diminished.
I would like to thank everyone for a wonderful experience over the years. I have enjoyed our interactions immensely. I am not completely going away, I just don't have a lot of interest anymore. I will continue to check back a few times per year, so if anyone wants to get a hold of me, be patient.
Cole is doing great. Youth Outdoor Activity Day in Alexandria is Sunday, August 28 please bring a car load of kids to this free event!
What you do today is important, you are trading a day in the rest of your life for it.

don't blame you pard. I usually check the rural living, classifieds and here. the time I used to spend on here is greatly diminished as well. Don't be a stranger! thanks for the update on Cole, that is great to hear!

I've made a lot of great friends here too, but have to admit the Chickenbuck crew is what kept me coming here. With so many of the folks I looked forward to talking to leaving, I think it's time I cut back on my visits here too. What a shame that this happened. I'll still check in, but not nearly as often.
Best wishes to everyone I've had a chance to meet here and talk to. Here's to the hope we all get a chance to share a cup of coffee over a campfire again somewhere.

Hmmmm...I guess I'm not one to let the negative posters win...especially on this thread. This is a place I came to when I needed some healing and what ND did that by starting this thread, the deer camp (Chickenbuck) build, the kids, the camaraderie, and just the day to day conversation really helped. I so enjoy Mrs. ND photo essays, NDs adventures, T-zone's boats and deer camps, Grizzly Bill's daily weather reports (RIP), hearing from Ryan, goalie, Rooster, gophergunner, white bear, busch pilot, etc. about whats going on in their lives. There's been very sad loss, birth, and redemption. This thread is like a neighborhood. Everyone is welcome and none of the crap. Life as it should be.
So while the rest of the campfire may be burning itself out, this thread glows brightly. I, for one, will check back often and not let the naysayers prevail. Life is too short to give up.
