I'm seriously considering a Doug Ritter RSK1 in M390. I've never had a knife with that steel but have heard nothing but good about it. Anyone here have experience with this knife and if so, how good is the M390 at holding an edge compared to other higher end production folders? From what I read it should be superior to most but would appreciate some real world experience.

Thanks.

I only have this knife out of what you might consider high end folders. Also, I'm no steel expert. But I've had this knife since 2007 or so and its pretty awesome. Best I own for holding an edge. The knife has been to alaska and on many trips and I'm glad I bought two because one I lost. the only thing for me is that I don't always want to carry something that size so I was thinking of getting the Mini as well. Cosmetically the steel keeps its original look as well. I don't think you will be disappointed with this choice should you make it.
