Bought an Olympus Magellan 8x42 binocular from Doug several years ago. Gave it to one of my son-in-laws who liked it so much and used it a ton. He seriously just beat the crap out of it. Lenses were all scratched, one objective ring was bent and the eyecups were bad. Sent it in for repair fully expecting to pay. Received a brand new replacement no charge! Exceeded my expectations, least I can do is pass on the good news about exceptional service.

They do. But they haven't updated the design at all. Japan build quality, phase coated, fully multi-coated and nitrogen filled. Nice compact body. If they added silver coatings or dielectric coatings to the prisms they would be right up to speed. I think the contrast lacks a little because of just the phase coated prisms. Don't know if you ever check allbinos.com but they really liked the 10x42 version and rated it a great value. They are going for over $200 now which I think is a little high.
