Groundhogs were once eaten by poor folks around here. I have never ate one but i would try it. Sugar beat feed ground hog with dressing and cooked potatoes. Might be good. My grandmother cooked groundhog once in a while and it wasn't too bad for table fare.

I tried it once. Too tough. I should have tried it with a much smaller one.

Better than possum I bet. Back in the day old people who were poor would catch possums then feed them cornbread to clean them out. At least ground hogs eat good and leave the road kill alone.
