The Most Exalted Grand Poobah showed us how to sight-in, using a bona-fide Texas Rifle:
First Double, ever. (And I dispute Colrado Bob's Dinkathon Trophy! This piglet was definitely smaller, "collateral damage" be damned!):
(cont.)
Couple of damn handsome men right there!
Joe I remembered that somebody had shot a striped dink, and it rivaled the winner, but the collateral damage cost style points....
However.....The stripes replace the lost style points , so I owe you an airline bottle of Crown Royal, and you and Colorado Bob will have to share the limelight....
I feel I slighted you and shall make every effort to regain your confidence in me as a judge.
( Please bear in mind Rebecca Creek altered my judgement capabilities...)

My autograph alone will be worth a fortune!!

Will the good gentleman from Upper Peninsula Michigan please pm me? I have some lead for you.
Carl, thanks again for the generous gift of the hog. The Uvalde game processors called and the "free range organic pork" (that's California code for wild pig) will soon be on it's way. You are thoughtful to feed my family. I will ensure the next rifle is fully tested and proofed before another hunt. Man, the minds that gather at these hunts! Louis Allen's "Burma" is on the way courtesy of Amazon. I'll be looking at an Ingram for the safe and a Buck for the hip. I am torn between upgunning as I have seen with my own eyes what a .444 can do but the 223 ttsx was so effective I may have to go both ways. I was glad my 6.5x55 worked as advertised. The experience level and the great advice alone made this hunt a bargain!
I found a picture (taken through the binocs) of an Aoudad checking out my freshly-felled boar:
He was kinda wary, but not enough so that he didn't go back to hoovering up all the "free" corn.
Another boar came to the edge of the scrub at last light, but he wanted no part of whatever had caused his comerade to lie very still on his side in the water hole. He high-tailed it outa there.

Tracy, my pleasure. Pig was shot with a 168 gr. TTSX, by the way, so it is even "california legal, free range organic pork". LOL. It was gratious of you to loan me your gun. The bow & arrow was good; just this indian not versed with this kind of bow, I guess...
Glad meeting you and family. If your girls are into food anything like my to two kids, you will soon be all out of "FROP" again. That means more hunting.
