Used this one on the last deer of the season and it may become one of my new favorites. Accurate, lightweight, fun to shoot 7mm-08 Marlin XS7 stainless from Whittaker's. Since I've only got about $500 in the setup with the Talleys and Nikon Monarch, I'm not even scared to rough it up a bit out in the field.

Uh, yeah... That's what I'm talking about! Only thing that would make it better is if the truck were a Pre-64

This my current hunting rig: 700 stainless SA trued up by Beanland. 3 Bartlein 2B barrels chambered by Mike Bryant, 6.5x47L 8" twist, .308 10" twist and 22-250 8" twist. Manners EH3 Timney Trigger PT&G bottom metal Bushnell 3-12 LRHS Burris XTB bases SWFA rings The Coyote was taken with the 6.5x47 barrel. Been doing load development on the .308 barrel lately. This one is promising if it turns out to be repeatable. John

The 250-3000 has always been my favorite cartridge since I started hunting big game. First rifle was a Savage 99 EG and the last few years my favorite rifle is a Savage 99 A. I purchased the rifle from the widow of the original owner who had Charlie Counoyer of South Milwaukee, WI checker it. The sale included the original gun shop purchase receipt, hang tag and manual. Couple up close snap shots. First whitetail I shot with it. Last whitetail shot and had mounted. The 250 Savage works on bear too. Wow....your little nifty 250 sure racked up a taxidermy bill! A great little rifle and nice shooting. Doc

Uh, yeah... That's what I'm talking about! Only thing that would make it better is if the truck were a Pre-64 I've been searching the 'net for such things, they are expensive. Time for me to put up a dead critter pic along with a plastic gun. Lord, I repent, please don't send me to Hell! PS: That gun has killed a lot more critters than I have. It's a monster!

Uh, yeah... Got a 4 point with a C-130H doing touch and goes one evening. The crew chief painted a buck silhouette and "Road Kill" next to the crew entrance door.

You get the "use enough gun" award!
