CMH Campfire Member C Joined: Nov 2010 Posts: 374 NW Washington	I have a soft spot for this 721 my dad gave me. Dropped it into a takeoff 700 stock a couple years back. It's an '06 but I've always wanted to have it bored out to 338-06. And this 77 in 280 has been as dependable as I could ever want, although most of the time anymore it sits in a boat paddle instead of the wood. This one has been getting more and more fun though, one of the superlights in 7-08. But maybe I should use this more? My daughters Model 7 that she insisted I paint for her when she was 6. It's pretty classy....

When I fired for group last fall before hunting, the first two went a bullet diameter apart vertically, but not centered to aim point. Two clicks on the Leupold VXIII 3.5-10 centered the third round to point of aim horizontally, and directly between the first two vertically. At 300 yards. I've posted that one before, so won't again here. Proceeded to kill 3 caribou shortly after at about 150, 290, and a ranged 433. Seems to work. Was gonna go out and shoot a t least 3 rounds today just for grins, but chill factor was pushing -20. I'm not that desperate yet..... : Off subject, but here is a recent sunrise I've been meaning to post somewhere.... The only true cost of having a dog is its death.

Has the first "real" scope I ever bought; 1986 gloss Leupold VARI-X III, 2.5-8 x36. Gun is a good shooter, though a bit loud, as this coyote at 249yds can attest.
