When I think of a place like the Cabela's Gun Library or a really good gun shop I think of the opportunity to see and handle guns that rarely get a chance to be viewed except online.
Out of curiosity what would be your list of guns that you would love be put your hands on but are either too small scale, too new, too expensive, etc. for most dealers to carry. Mine consists of a view that get spoke about on the campfire but I have no local dealer so if I ever take the leap it will be a leap of faith: LAW professional Any Noveske AR Fierce rifle just out of curiosity to see the action Rigby Big Game in .375

I'd like to see rifles on the shelf that need no trigger adjustments, no bedding adjustments, no magazine box clearance work, no offset scope ring inserts to correct for misaligned mounting holes, ...

Newton rifles in all of the various Newton calibers. When I lived in New England, it was always a treat to visit Bill DeVaux's gun shop in Norwich, VT. Bill coached shooting sports at Dartmouth College and was often asked to handle the sales of firearms from the estates of Dartmouth grads. Outside of a Julia Auction, I never seen as many nice firearms in one geographic location. I bought a couple of 256 Newtons from Bill in 1990 that came from a collection that belonged to the family of an original Newton investor. In retrospect, I wish that I'd bought a 1st Model in 30-06 instead of the Buffalo in 256. When Bruce Jennings was alive, he was always a gracious host if you were a Newton fan who happened to be in the Sheridan, WY, area.

Left hand guns as far as the eye can see............ +2 ... Whitaker's has the best selection of LH Bolt rifles I have ever seen. And, they have all of their long guns out on the rack where you can pick 'em up, handle 'em, shoulder 'em and see what "really fits". Unfortunately, it is about the other end of the state...

I would love to see a Marlin 336 T (go ahead and stamp the T on the barrel so everybody knows what it is) built with the quality and attention to detail that Marlins were in the 60's and early 70's. Without the safety! While Marlin is at it they could make some Marlin 39 Carbines with the same quality as the old ones. Don't put a safety on this one either…

Not sure it fits the criteria but:
Remington Model Seven XCR 7mm-08
Or
Remington Model 700 LVSF 7mm-08

I would love to see a nice slick pump 44 magnum with a tube magazine. Something like a Remington 14 1/2 would be great. Don't even cut the barrel for a rear sight. Just send it standard with a receiver sight. An option to send in your own wood to Ruger to be used on your No. 1 would be nice. No extra charge other than a handling charge.
