More reasons to like the boring chamberings True dat! I shoot over 50 different CF rifle cartridges, some common/boring, some, like the 256 Newton, that haven't been factory loaded for over 75 years. But, I like most rifles and cartridges, so it doesn't take too much arm twisting for me to try something that is new to me.

Don't know, I haven't bothered to follow up with my buddy at Winchester/Olin, as I have several thousand pieces of new Federal 223 and 243 WSSM brass and don't care for the Winchester/Olin brass.

Got an email from my bud at Winchester/Olin today. 243 WSSM ammo and brass is currently in the production process, soon to be followed by the 25 WSSM and then 223 WSSM. Watch the on-line sellers, as the big retail and wholesale buyers will be first in line. If you legitimately have a contact over there, can you find out what happened to all their other brass? Seems like the retailers have dropped all the varmint cartridges other than 223.

Why should I nag my buddy about stuff that I don't have any interest in?
If you hadn't suggested that I'm a liar, I would have contacted him and asked him where the 243 WSSM ammo and brass is in the production stream. But, since you did, I won't bother to do so.

As posted earlier, keep me updated. Looking for the .243 WSSM.
Thanks

I didn't suggest you were a liar. B. If you truly did have a "bud" at Olin, it wouldn't be "nagging" to just drop a line and ask. C. But since you went full hissy-fit, I think you outed yourself as a selfish little [bleep].

Well , maybe now the WSSie whiners will be smarter and buy several thou pcs and shut the L up for ten years or more, but they won't of course ......
they will buy 20 pcs then whine later that it should be on the shelves available everytime they need a couple pcs.... It's practically a cultural and social dilemma, widely accepted to whine about WSSM brass, there's 12 step programs for coping with WSSoholism and clinics to treat WPTSDSSM, hospitals and physicians offer free care for couples dealing with Fetal WSSohol Syndrome and Multiple lack of WSSMosis including other severe afflictions .... Word is Bernie will make the rich bastards pay for producing a bunch of brass and will be free to all WSSocialists , if he wins.... but he won't , so the suffering will continue .....
get a rope, find a tree and end the pain

Are you channeling your inner Gabby Johnson?
And there I was, thinking that I was doing a public service by alerting WSSM shooters that Winchester/Olin was setting up a production line at the Oxford, MS, ammo plant to produce WSSM ammo and brass.
Why is it that, for some people, no good deed goes unpunished?

At least you know what you're getting into when you try one of the oddballs. I feel for the newbies that drink the Koolade on new stuff without looking down the road a bit and then get stuck when the promise doesn't pan out. I've never gotten stuck, but most of the rifles I'm drawn to use standard, boring rounds. The craziest thing I ever got involved with was a .17 Mach2 1911 conversion. Got my money back on the kit and the ammo I'd stockpiled; 1800 rounds as I recall.
What fresh Hell is this?

Very cleverly written. But it did hurt my feelers I discarded my "feelers" when I turned 13 and replaced them with blunt force truth sarcasm, the need for more "truth... even if it hurts" is a much needed remedy for this ailing nation..... or "Alien Nation" with all these illegals aliens bouncing over...... hahaha see... blunt force truth sarcasm ! it's harmless, nobody died ! I do have a Win 70 that used to be a 223 WSSM and did accumulate ove 1k pcs of brass before the shortage and price gouging started, wasn't affected in anyway and since have used the Win 70 for a wildcat build that took me away from the WSSM brass requirement

That's a lot of work to keep 25 guys happy. Maybe Winchester/Olin feels some obligation to the 25 people who bought Browning and Winchester/USRA WSSM rifles. Funny. That's what I thought when I saw the title of this thread.
