...Remington has discontinued .25-20 brass

...which also screws up my .218 Bee project

I guess I best start forming from .32-20 smirk

I've had good success necking 32.20 to 218 Bee , just lubed the cases ,turning the case a 1/4 of a turn or so while slowly sizing.

100 32.20 win brass that I had very little money invested in and a cold winter afternoons worth of time.

That's bad news for me too. It's my favorite squirrel round. I shoot the 25-20 out of a Marlin 1894CL.
I hope Remington was not the only outfit that made brass for this number.
Years ago I saw a Low Wall in 25-21 at a really good price. I still wish I would have picked it up. That was the one with the straight wall case.

The shake-up in the industry is making things tough for sure. I've seen a couple of nice Browning 65s for sale, but a quick check on stuff to feed them cooled my jets pretty quick.

What are you building?

There's also a Marlin 1894CL here in the same caliber, though I think it will likely just get jacketed bullets.

Nice photo. Reminds me of a Low Wall I had in 32-20.
I still kick myself for selling it.

Precisely why I went with a M53 Browning.

I drooled over a few of those myself, but finally "settled" for a NIB low wall Traditional Hunter .44 Mag due to the better sights. Some of those 53s are stunners, and I might still pick one up if opportunity and available cash coincide. One thing I've noticed is that the wood on the 53s and LWs is usually much better than the 65s, maybe because the good stuff was used up by the time the 65s were built.

I've figgered out a way to mount a red dot on the LW without altering anything and will likely carry it a bit next season so equipped if it turns out I can't see the irons well enough in the woods. A few trips to the range will tell the tale. The tang sight is pretty good, but the kinda-sorta semi-buckhorn doesn't work for my eyes and also blocks the view through the peep.
