The Federal Trophy Copper load. It is also stupidly accurate in my primary 280.

When i shot a 280 with factory ammo years ago the remington 140 core lokts shot the best in my Mtn. rifle.

My KS .280 sure likes the Barnes Vor-Tx 140 grain TTSX ammo. Not cheap but it shoots better than anything I've ever tried in that rifle.

I've had the best results with Federal Fusion in 140gr.
I have a Remington Mt Rifle DM in .280 and a Win M 70 in .280. The Rem 700 shoots 140gr, 150gr, and 165gr Core-Lokts to the nearly the same POI at 100yds.
The Federal Fusions are slightly higher at 100yds, but more accurate by 1/4" at that distance.
I've killed deer with the 150gr Core-lokts and the Federal Fusions. The Fusions are what I use now for factroy ammo and forming brass.
Camp is where you make it.

Federal Premiums with the 150 Partition has been THE most accurate factory load in about 3 different 280's
I probably hit more elk with a pickup than you have with a rifle. I have yet to see anyone claim Leupold has never had to fix an optic. I know I have sent a few back. 2 MK 6s, a VX-6, and 3 VX-111s.
