Attaboy Joe! Way more accurate than our weather forecasters! They could use a good man like you on the Weather Channel!

Yeah I do and yeah they would, but the agent said if there's another claim in 3 years I would probably be dropped and if I did find another company that would carry me after 2 claims in 3 years, my rates would certainly double. He also said that even after 1 claim my rates were sure to go up.
In the end, I said screw it, I'll do it myself. Dunno what 20 years of never used home insurance is for. I guess if your house burned down or tornadoes - something catastrophic...not poo water leaks.
I'd call their bluff. Might have to. This is starting to get expensive. Wife said if we're getting new carpet down there we may as well get new furniture, then she played the "poo water in my hair" guilt thing. The upholstery cleaner folks I've talked to say it's nearly impossible to get that out of the sofa. Throwing around words like bio-hazard and CAT 3 water. I think I'm screwed again. I told my wife about your home issues and read her this. We are both laughing (even though we know its not a laughing matter) It's good you can keep your humor through this process.

I talked to the lady who owns the farm I'll be hunting. The turkeys are getting more aggressive. They're flying into her chicken coop and eating all the scratch. Her little Jack Russell runs them out, and they're back within a couple hours. It ain't gonna be a hunt, it's gonna be a shoot.

We've got real warm weather down here this week. I'm hoping to call in a Rio Grande tom Sunday morning. The rancher I lease from texted me last night and told me his turkeys are gobblin' up a storm.

We've been seeing turkeys all over here too. Turkey love is in the air. I see them strutting almost everyday now on my way to work.
We'll be hunting them in MN next weekend and WI the first week of May. I pick that week because it's opening fishing in WI and we usually have the woods to ourselves!
Doc, shoot one of those Rio's! I'd like to shoot them all. I'm hoping maaaaaybe next year to take the kiddo's to SD and Ryan can show us where the turkeys are.
I will get the turkey slam, that's one of two on my "bucket list" hunting adventures.
The other is a moose.

I want to shoot a turkey moose.
Can you imagine how beautiful that creature would be?

I saw lots of them out and about this morning, even drove past a Tom that was resting on a hens back. he had her pinned down in the middle of the road and looked to be having a time keeping his balance.....
I'm going to head out this evening and bring my girls with. I figured mama would get a kick out of it, and my 3 yo daughter is already a seasoned turkey hunter. she was with my folks last weekend when my dad stuck one on an arrow to bring home. she was sitting with her brother calling and my folks were a few yards away. turkeys walked between them gobbling the whole time. she didn't move and listened to big bro's advice. they had a front row seat when grandpa whacked him. she came home carrying a wing feather and a smile like you wouldn't believe. she opted to retell the story a few times rather than participate in the cleaning of the bird.
fingers crossed we get one tonight

I'm just saying, the moose is the turkey of the deer family and the turkey is the moose of the bird family.
