I finally looked through a Savage manual that came with the Axis 30-06 I bought earlier this year for my grandson.

Shooting "reloads, hand loads or any non SAAMI ammunition" voids the warranty. What kind of idiot lawyers dreamed that up and how on earth would they prove that if they wanted to refuse service.

Clipping the funky factory trigger springs actually makes sense now that I know what a wanton violator I have been for many years.

I'm pretty sure most if not all of the manufacturers have that awesome little tidbit somewhere in their manuals.

Glock says the same thing, but they cover anything and everything sent back to them

I think is their way of saying "if you handload and the rifle blows up, don't blame us."

I don't worry a bit about such stuff.

Me neither... That's just their way of CYA for when some handloader accidently fills a rifle case full of fast burning pistol powder or some other bone headed mistake and blows up one of their guns.
