We used to get $2.50 a piece for them hides when we was in high school. That was about the time of the First Boer War.

Most guys I know that have killed one get it mounted but I used a 60 Gr. NBT on this one,high shoulders and neck shot......those areas were pretty well gone, and the head was messed up too. Tough to be 'fur friendly ' on a critter than small... Instead if a head mount, you should do an ass mount.

I like mine stuffed with onions and garlic, sprinkled with salt & pepper, and slow roasted over mesquite.
