I used them last fall. They held my binoculars tight to my body. Not sure if the S4 is the best or not. Always looking for the best Bino holders.

How well does the top cover, cover the lenses?

That was a downside to this harness. It was not 100% protective. Weather elements did make there way onto my lens

Google Crooked Horn Outfitters. . I'm not sure they offer the binocular case, but their harness is first rate.

I bought an S4 harness and kept it for only a few weeks. It didn't protect the binoculars and didn't fit that well with other clothing or gear.
The FHF stuff I replaced it with is just terrific at protection, fits well and stays tight to my chest crawling through brush. They have a pouch you can buy as well that lets me wear the rangefinder on the harness in a great accessible place and has a tether available to make sure I don't lose it.
FHF also has a gps pouch that fits the harness with a tether that saved me from losing mine several times. It makes the harness a little heavy but works great on the belt.

Thanks for the links, the FHF looks nice. Also looking at the KUIU as well. Anyone using these?

Exactly my experience--dust and moisture can and do work their way in to the lenses.

I used them and thought they worked quite well. The other bino harnesses I have used leave the bino swinging outside with no protection.
Its all right to be white!! Stupidity left unattended will run rampant Don't argue with stupid people, They will drag you down to their level and then win by experience

I have had the S4 for a couple years now. It protects my Swaro 12x50s very well in most weather. In the snow I switch to the badlands. I leave the covers on the oculars but have removed them on the objective lenses. I have had no issues in the rain and it is a light harness and fits well under my packs. It also prvents your binos from swinging which drives me crazy. If the weather is going to be really bad I put my coat on over the harness and unzip to glass. Never had my swaros fog on me.

I've use Alaskan Guide Creations for several years and am very pleased with them. They hold your glass close and keep them clean, there is also pockets for other stuff
