Was shake and baking a bunch of 30 call spitzers and having a hard time getting powder to stick. I gave up and dumped bullets, BBs, and powder in my vibratory tumbler. In 30 seconds they were coated. I have an older Midway tumbler that needs a new card. I am thinking it just found a new job.

The only powder coating I've done is in a RCBS vibratory tumbler, bullets, powder and about 15 minutes, it will not shake off in a colander. Ronnie

I use the hitek bullet coating. I used the vibratory case cleaner to shake the (taped) bottle before mixing and my coatings have really improved. I will eventually try your powder coating method. Please keep posting techniques and results.
Where do you get your lead? I am lucky enough to work near some metal recyclers who either charge me a dollar a pound for scrap, or give it away because OSHA betas them up for storing a toxic metal.

I got several hundred pounds years ago for one dollar. Still using it but getting low. I am looking around locally to see what I can find.

What you did with the tumbler is exactly what we used to do moly coating bullets only it took a lot longer. Tom

I did it with moly too.
Shake and bake is putting cast bullets in a yogurt tub with or without black airsoft BBs and power coat powder then shaking them. Then remove, set on tray covered with non sick aluminium foil and baking in an oven.
