If you work 40 hrs/wk: at 5% inflation and after 5 years, you need a 28% pay raise or to work 44 more hours (*one full extra week* per month+) to make up the difference.

My wife and I both lost our beloved mothers to the scourge that is cancer. If we never see another person die from this, ti will not be enough. We will be thinking of you and your wife and praying hard for a good outcome here. Have strength, and trust in the Lord.

Deepest support and sympathy. As you already know, attitude is everything in this situation, as people can overcome it.
For women, this is about the worst kind of cancer in terms of mortality, so word that there are no other signs and that they got the bad out is very good news. Yes, you have to monitor closely and do the chemo, but they are getting better about that every year!
