Gotta quit letting people use my stuff. My Pentax DCF WP 8x42's were pretty beat up and I sent it to Pentax for repair. Fully expected to pay for some of it because of scratched lenses and a bent objective ring. Came back with everything repaired and no charges. Looks like Ricoh is taking over all Pentax operations and because my binoculars were pre-2006 they first went to Precision Camera on the east coast and then ended up getting repaired in Torrance, CA. Good on Pentax for the excellent service!

Huh. I had completely the opposite experience! They told me I was SOL because my Bino is from the nineties. So I just ordered new ones, and got my money returned to me because the vendor could not in good faith sell equipment that has no Customer Service! True story and recent as well.

I sent in some DCF SP's that I had loaned to a buddy that came back with a bent and non-functioning eyepiece. They came back good as new and the turnaround time was nice & quick.
Their communications aren't great but the end results were.
