Working on a Bison rifle. It is a Remington Rolling Block. It is a #5 I believe. It is not the black powder model and has the small firing pin. It has a Shilen barrel that Karl Kampfeld made into an octagon barrel. I'm using Vaver adjustable aperture peep sights. I had to build both front and rear sight bases. I have a piece of Roger Vardy's nice Australian "English" walnut. Evan Koch will whittle the stock out. Pictures below are of the semifinished metal work. I think I will use Turnbull to finish the metal. I really like the Vaver sights as you can screw about 6 different size inserts into both or either of the front and rear sights. A wide variety of hole sizes in them.

Have any pics of the stock wood Butch? No pics and I haven't seen the wood. Evan Koch in Minnesota has it. I have always let Roger Vardy pick my wood. I get more for my money that way. A blank looks like a pine blank to me and I cannot see in my mind the final product. Go to this thread and you can see a stock that Evan is finishing for me. A step by step with photos. http://www.rimfirecentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=580905Below is more of Roger's wood. This is my 220 Beggs"Russian".
