How does it handle factory 250 Savage ammo? Fine. Slight crush fit. I fireformed 20 rounds in it and that's all I've kept loaded......20 rounds. Some of the 20 has probably been loaded 10 times. Melvin knows how to build them.

Somebody needs to save this rifle - seems like a travesty if this was dismantled to make a friggin' 260Rem

I know. I love the 250AI and will build a Rem 700 based custom in the same chambering if I sell this one. I'd much rather sell it than rebarrel it.

If you have any desire for a 250AI you should scream that you'll take it. Can't beat the seller, he's as good as they come, and you can't beat the platform. I ain't touched the rifle but Mr. Forbes has...more than once...which counts for a whole lot more than I can say for it...

Thanks guys. New replacement would go for $3500 + stainless barrel option + cost of cerakote.

Every time this is bumped up I'm hoping that someone has bought it to remove the temptation.

I'd bet Melvin could fix that for you for a nominal fee. LOL.
Actually....I'm 6'2" and it feels great to me.
