The top one, it's the Mountaineer (black with grey and dark earth specs). Really like the trim and slim design - it's definitely going to be seeing lots of time in the field.

I found a stock on the McMillan 'Specials' page that I could use. I called to inquire about it. Heather answered the phone and went to see if it was still in stock. when she got back to the phone, she called it 'hideous' and offered to paint it for free. I laughed and declined. it is the bottom stock in these pics.

In terms of favorite, my mind changes like the wind and am generally in favor of a pop of color. For the last few of months, I've been partial to the subdued. Unfinished Edge-

Black and Orange 50/50 That's on my bucket list... For now, it's my coyote bomber 375 H&H...
I try to stick with the basics, they do so well. Nothing fancy mind you, just plain jane will get it done with style. You want to see an animal drop right now? Shoot him in the ear hole. BSA MAGA

Sevens, is that mountaineer a long action and what is barrel length? I've got a mountaineer ordered for a short action and #3 barrel. Hope it looks ok. Finishing at 22"

Carolyn has an M1A stock in the safe somewhere that looks really similar. I haven't seen it in years. Must be in the back. But the stock and gun are from the late 80s anyway...
