goodshot;
Good evening to you sir, I trust this warm spring finds you acceptably well.
Our youngest daughter's .250AI shot the 80gr TTSX very well. If my notes are correct we ran 43gr of 760, CCI 200 Primers with a COAL of 2.560". The resulting velocity at 15' was 3125fps.
She shot 3 local bucks with that bullet, we recovered one from a second rack mulie buck. The buck was about 200yds out, the bullet hitting a rib going in, shredded the heart and then shattered the left humerus bone before lodging under the skin on the offside scapula area.
It's on the left and is .510" across and weighs 79.9gr.
We ran 100gr Hornady in her rifle previous to this and while we had good luck with them, we were certainly pleased with the 80gr TTSX performance on deer too.
Hopefully that was useful for you or someone out there tonight. Good luck with your rifle whichever way you decide.
Dwayne
