Any opinions on the Winchester M70 Coyote in 300 WSM. This one has a matte blue receiver, stainless barrel and black/gray laminated stock. Brand new.
I've been thinking about a Rem Sendero in .300 Win Mag or 300 Ultra Mag. Then I ran across this Winchester for a bargain price. I put it on layaway, but that's always reversable.
Opinions/Experience with this rifle and/or caliber?

Does that gun come with three holes cut in the forend underneath the barrell and with three holes cut in the stock.

Nope, I think thats the lightweight Coyote. This one doesn't have any holes.

It's a damn heavy rifle but if that's desireable then you'll enjoy the 300 WSM on that platform a lot! The 300 WSM is very easy to get shooting extremely well, particularly with 180's over H4350. The M70 CRPF action on the Coyote works very well with the WSM case.

FYI. CDNN in Texas has the Win Super Shadow in 7mmWSM with a 3X9X40 Bushnell mounted and bore sighted for $449. Catalog says 6#.
