I did sell my Gen 3 26 for a 43. I loved the 10 round capacity but the 43 just fits me better. Have a 42 and a 19 also and like them all. May even get another. 26 someday.

Don't like single stack 9's.
Will most likely pick up a 26 to add to the stable this year...
(Or a 17, but I'm thinking a 26).

I recently rented and shot the Gen 3 and Gen 4 Glock 26 with the pinky holder on the magazine. For some reason the gap between the magazine and the frame tears up my finger. I shot 50 rounds through both to be sure. I was ready to buy one but I rented it first, I believe I am going to trade my Kahr PM9 in on a Gen 4 G19 and send it to fire4effect thank you for the info TC1.

I have 2- 26s, 2-19s, and a 17. If I had to pick one for everything, I think I would take the 26 with a +2 Mag. It fits my hand very well, it holds enough rounds, and it conceals well. I have held a 43 and it feels OK but I still like the 26

I sold my last Glock, a G23, and bought a Sig 229 in the same caliber.

After finger-blasting a G43 I determined I must have one.

I've had at least 3 G26's over the years, but sold them all. I tried hard to love them, but I found that they did not conceal any better than a G19 for me. The G43 is a horse of a different color - I can make it disappear anywhere and it shoots just as well as a G26, minus a couple of rounds. Love the G19 and the G43, but the G26 just doesn't serve any useful purpose in my book.

I carry a G17 on duty with a G26 as a backup/EDC. I picked up a G43 and didnt like having to adjust my grip between my duty gun and backup. The G26 is the same from trigger to backstrap as a G17 with no grip or trigger finger placement adjustments needed. It can also take G17 magazines. I gave the G43 to a friend.

That was my idea as well, no estrogen intended but the gap between mag and frame cuts into my finger, I can shoot a Titanium 38 +P and to me the G26 is almost as unpleasent after 100 rounds of lower power 9mm practice ammo, the G43 has now started making more sense. Despite as you say the change in grip.
