Has anyone tried using any of the third-party zoom lens kits for GoPros?

I want to film my upcoming buff hunt, and I don't like the lens that comes with the GoPros (a deer at 20 yards looks like it is at 100 yards).

After trying out many other "hunting specific" action cams, I am not really impressed with any of them (at least those less than $300.00).

Now I am considering upgrading the lens to my GoPro (which gives great battery life).

Anyone ever tried this?
