I have taken to wearing a coyote brown version of your issue boonie as it has a wide-ish brim and soaks up sweat. I find the Akubra and Stetson make me sweat a lot, and are not as comfortable. And if you want to see ridiculous skin cancer rates then come here as this is the epicentre, only a complete fool wanders about without a hat here. Or a teenager that hasn't had their first bit of hide cut off. These are my opinions, feel free to disagree.

Boonies are my favorite, I hate to say it but the USMC version has the widest[best] brim. Bought it two years back at my local coop store! Has a band that has Soybean written on it! Basically it's just a straw hat...an El Cheapo Special...but wears good!
