Does CLR essentially have a Rem 700 footprint so stocks for the latter are relatively easy to fit?

[quote=Mule DeerThe Talley mounts are entirely appropriate to a CLR, as they're the mount Melvin Forbes designed for the NULA. At first they were produced by another company strictly for NULA's, but when Talley took over the NULA mount production they started making them for other rifles as well.[/quote]
Not to mention it is what the CLR's come with.

I don't know the T3. My brother and I have had 2 CLR's and I still a 7RM CLR and a '06 Montana and another '06 for a son-in-law.
The CLR is my long range rifle with Mel's excellent stock, and an old style Rem trigger. After 1200 hot rounds with the throat burned back 0.055" from new it needed a Wolff striker spring. These days I load everything to max magazine length for COL and it is still a near 1/2" gun with 140g to 175g hand loads. Even cheap Fusion 175g ammo goes 0.6" but it has has never likes any 160g.
The son-in-laws '06 came from Brad (bedded) and is in the 0.5s with a wide array of bullets/powder. The other I bedded myself and after the fist load of 165 TSX at 0.050 out it shot so well that is all it has ever seen.
How can a guy go wrong.
