Has anyone been to Greenland Char fishing with fly or spin casting? Im looking for an outfitter.
I contacted North Safari and will be talking to him this week.

Can't speak with any current relevance, but back in the mid 60's when I was stationed at Thule AB, the summer run in the river that ran thru the base had some really nice Char fishing available. Unfortunately, I didn't realize their availability until 3 weeks before my rotation date so it was kind of a cluster trying to get enough gear together to do battle. Those that were landed more than made it worthwhile. As I recall, we used medium spinner baits and a Scandinavian version of our Mepps Minnow about 1-1/2 to 2" long with good results. I would expect that the fishing should still be excellent.....can't see there being much pressure on the rivers up there.

It hasn't changed. I spoke to the outfitter yesterday who lives in Denmark. Small spinners and bring plenty of them!
Bright colored flies as well.
I'm heading to a flyshop today and speak to the owner, he's been to many destinations, I don't know about Greenland.
