As we here all know, ANY rifle is an AR-15 to the media.

Didn't click on the link, but living near Houston, I doubt flood-induced mold had anything whatsoever to do with this!

There's also this:
Quote
One motorist showed KHOU how a bullet burst through his passenger window, blew through two seats and out another window - as he sat in the driver's seat.
The padding in 2 seats should slow a light bullet down considerably.

An AR15 in 308 maybe?

The holes are oblong, the bullets having come in at a low angle. This may distort our perception of their size.

Right. Lol

As guys have mentioned earlier, about race. There was a case in the north Austin/RoundRock/Cedar Park area a few years ago. Some homeowner shot a young guy for supposed trespassing.

What the media left out was the shooter was an A rab. I was told this by a former neighbor of his. She said he was nuts, he would patrol his yard as if he wanted a confrontation.

I remember that Viking! Something about the kid had car problems or ran out of gas??? Was looking for help? And the guy just pretty much shot him!

If the mold theory holds water, there must be a lot of mold in Chicago on most weekends.

It's official. I missed the selfie deadline so I'm Maser's sock puppet because rene and the Polish half of the fubar twins have decided that I am.

It appears that a bad guy intent on a mass shooting was engaged by a good guy who was then center punched by the PO-lice for his troubles. They have released almost no information about the shooter and took great pains to conceal the suspect's car tags and the like from the press on the scene.

The first shooter seems to have started randomly shooting on the street. The second may have been a "good guy" civilian. Just from what has been read.

There may be a lesson here for us: if we engage someone away from our own home, be aware that the police will not be able to distinguish us from any bad guys. Remember, they at times shoot plain clothes cops who were in a poor situation.

The craziness inherent in the whole initial presentation, e.g. two guys shooting it out take a break to shoot at the locals and L.E., had the distinct smell of this being a possibility.

So who got killed ?

The good, the bad, the indifferent ?

It's the Keystone cops down there. The cops found a suspicious backpack and blew it up. They then just left it there where a television crew later found it. Then the cops came back and collected "the evidence".

It appeared to be a pretty typical "bugout" bag that probably lots of people on this board have.

The good guy is in the hospital and is expected to recover fine. The so-called second shooter is "not a suspect".

Interesting that there is not a lot of information regarding names, etc.

Not that surprising. There is no news these days of this sort that isn't screened and rationed for political purposes. The truth might be embarrassing to someone or contrary to a particular political narrative.

Texas law enforcement sources are starting to chatter that the shooters home was raided and lots of Islamic extremist stuff found.

As a result, I'm sure we will never get the full story.
