The big question should be how he was getting such a powerful drug.

Yea, because there are laws against this, and we have drug control in this country!!

I don't know if Prince's supplier was a personal physician or not but from Elvis to Michael Jackson and now Prince, it's obvious if you have enough dough you can have your own doc supplier who will keep you in dilaudid (Elvis) to Propofol (MJ) or fentanyl in Prince's case.

Fentanyl is a very dangerous drug to self-medicate with, far more than the other two; I know of anesthesia professionals for whom fentanyl is as the hammer is to the carpenter, accidentally kill themselves with it while abusing the drug.

I dug a lot of his music.

Talented fella for being a drug addict.

Hendrix, the Allmans, Morrison, Cobain, lots more individuals, would set a 10 hour reel to reel, or whatever tech they had, to "record", get stoned and play, to get new material. They couldn't remember what they played while stoned.

Once they sobered up, they'd play back the recording to see what they got.

He was a great musician. Supposedly began to suffer a lot of hip & leg pain in his later years, which is how he wound up addicted. Not excusing the sadness & stupidity of it, but chronic severe pain will make people do foolish things

Never cared for his music. Last time I checked, it wasn't my job to judge the man. Let him rest in peace.

I've yet to see what dosage form it was, but it's safe to assume that even a few grannies in your church are using fentanyl patches. Quite a few of them die from it too. He could have easily and legally been using up to 300mcg/hr or more in patches. Wouldn't take adding much else to do yourself in.

...indeed, it's not to difficult to visualize the rank, unhappy bastid stroking his yoke while typing that chit.

the smiley face clinches it,....
