I got caught shooting at a duck a few minutes after legal time once. I did it, knew it was wrong, and he caught me. Simple as that. I didn't lie, and he cut me a little slack on it. That helped a little with the fine, IIRC.


You and I live in a different world...I tend to subscribe to the 'admit nothing, deny everything, make counter accusations, and if that fails lie my teeth out' policy.

But politely.



ps, I also find that 'big dumb hick' buys some breathing room for creative thinking.

In Washington State, under RCW 77.15.080, fish and wildlife officers and other LEOs working under WDFW jurisdiction have the power to search all equipment used for the purpose of taking or storing fish and game. The officer must be able to articulate that you are attempting to take or keep fish or game.

If you think about it, it means your truck, boat, coolers, compartments, freezers, refrigerators, etc.
