Is that a word?
Did some selling and trading lately and came up with a brand new blued Ruger Super Blackhawk Bisley 44 mag 7.5" and a 1981 stainless Ruger New Model Blackhawk 357 mag 4.62".
The 44 has the transfer bar pinch and the rear sight pin wants to slide out. Nothing that won't take me a few minutes to fix before I go shoot it. I know neither are that big a deal, but the last three Ruger revolvers I've bought new have had something...
The 1981 357 seems as tight and well made as any new model I've owned. Looks like it was shot some and stored a lot.
I'll post pics when I get a chance. I'm down to my company phone an I'm having camera problems with it.

Couple of good snags right there. There have been short periods where I owned no SA revolvers but they are hard to recall. The mind has mechanisms to insulate us from traumatic times in our lives

This one started out as a 4 5/8" Wouldn't shoot worth a hoot due to thread choke and had excessive end shake so I picked up a 6 1/2" take off barrel, added a bushing to the cylinder to tighten up the end shake and fit the new/old barrel. Now it's a shooter. Yes, rubber grips are ass ugly, but I shoot the gun much more accurately with the Hogues.

I am a dyed-in the-wool single action lover.

Bend the pin holding the sight in a bit and all will be good.

I just loaded 100 for my Lipsey's Flat Top .45 Colt Stainless, think it's the 5 7/8" bbl with the faux ivory grips. Been about 2 years since I did any reloading- not shooting anywhere near enough lately, or getting out to the hills.

It's about like this:
"Do you puff peters?"
"Hell no!"
"NAZI!!!"
