Brings back a fond memory of my dad setting me on the hood of a Ferguson 30 and mowing our three acres of hay.
I'm too old for that BS now.
I could wish a lot of things on my worst enemy but neuropathy ain't one of them.

It's growing by leaps and bounds.
Most of it is standing water now, and will for awhile yet.

Sweet pics(all), interesting!
We've been waiting for the weather to settle down and haven't cut anything yet.
Fairly rough night, hail took about 80-100 ton of first cutting alfalfa and hay barley.
Last April I emptied the drill and basically double seeded/fertilzed a little 15acre hay yard field that had been in summer fallow last year. Got 2-3 of rain on it and it went nuts.
That field was the most amazing stand of hay barley I have ever seen.
The corners layed down and lodged, half the heads are knocked over.
Alf lost half it leaves or got knocked over.
Some guys had windrows turn into wet pancakes.
That's haying.

We had a thunderstorm dump 8 inches of rain couple days before I was going to start cutting. The little branch beside my field turned into the chesapeake bay flattening most of the hay.I finally finished mowing yesterday.Baled half of it last weekend in 100 degree heat

We have had hot weather and had to irrigate the first cut which we seldom do. Got it on the ground today and should have it raked, dried, and baled in three or four days. Unless it rains which it did about an hour ago.
