72 hour delay for anybody on the "watch list" while the feds get a chance to show a judge that he should be denied? And if they can't the name comes off the list? No, doesn't work that way. It stays on, and there is a 72 hour delay and a flag raised at the federal level every time they try to buy a gun.

The NRA’s position on this issue has not changed. The NRA believes that terrorists should not be allowed to purchase or possess firearms, period. Anyone on a terror watchlist who tries to buy a gun should be thoroughly investigated by the FBI and the sale delayed while the investigation is ongoing. If an investigation uncovers evidence of terrorist activity or involvement, the government should be allowed to immediately go to court, block the sale, and arrest the terrorist. At the same time, due process protections should be put in place that allow law-abiding Americans who are wrongly put on a watchlist to be removed. That has been the position of Sen. John Cornyn (R.-Tex.) and a majority of the U.S. Senate. Sadly, President Obama and his allies would prefer to play politics with this issue. The NRA is more likely to sell us out than Trump is.

After all, would it be legal to suspend the 4th amendment on illegal searches for 72 hours? Suspend the right to free speech for 72 hours? The measure received 55 votes in the Senate. It it secured the backing of staunch conservatives like Ted Cruz, Mike Lee, and Marco Rubio as well as moderate Republicans Susan Collins and Lisa Murkowski and moderate Democrats Joe Manchin and Joe Donnelly. The only Republican to oppose it was Mark Kirk. Note that this legislation would have stopped ZERO attacks in the US. Not one mass murder has been committed by somebody who was on the terror watch list at the time. You can't stop a lone gunman regardless of what you do. You have to be armed and kill him or her before they do as much damage as in the night club. Wouldn't have delayed the shooter, he wasn't on any lists. Good way to get a start to a 72 hour wait for all gun purchases, I suppose, if a guy had been in favor of that for 20 years or so. Automatically creates a 72 hour wait for 1 million Americans.

The government, specifically DHS is infiltrated by the Muslims. They are in collusion. One and only one gun law, it is called the Second Amendment. It just needs to be clarified to mean no restrictions on any law abiding US citizen including open or concealed carry everywhere in this country. All laws restricting this right would be immediate null and void and anyone attempting to enforce and firearms restrictions would be guilty of a federal felony.
