Posted and read here A LOT back in 2008 - some people here I still think about once in a while :-)

Here's to hoping the Mod(s) will let this one time post stay. I'm in the process of applying for SSD because I've developed COPD stage 3 - can't pass the DOT/FMCSA mandated stress test for truck drivers with stents (Percutaneous Coronary Intervention – LAD stenting 03/19/2009).

My last day at work was 3/23/16 when I had to be taken to hospital via ambulance with double pneumonia. No income since then.

On my blog, linked in my signature, there are buttons for PayPal and Go Fund Me. I'd be forever grateful if anyone can help me - even $5.00 will make a difference.

A couple of people I still think fondly of here are a guy named Scott, who's avatar was (at one time) a tent-like structure he and his wife lived in - it reminded me of Ernest Hemingway. Another guy was Mike - a FedEx pilot. And I remember a guy who's avatar was a little monkey with glasses. And there was a guy who's screen name was AMAX something - very similar to mine. And a girl with the word "hound" in her name. In fact, lots of people here I considered friends.

I'm the truck driver who had my own little blog-thread here - it's what prompted me to start my own blog, linked in my signature. In fact, in the "about me" section of the blog, I talk about and link to the "Campfire".

Just look up my last few posts. Would a troll or spammer make posts like those? Geeze people, either you'll open up your hearts or you won't. I seriously need some help.

I think my Go Fund Me link will work here based on the post preview. But even if I could post the PayPal button, it doesn't say "PayPal", so you wouldn't know ....

Someone please tell Gene I hope he and D.W. are doing good - I have no desire to contact him myself. I will say however, that being married to him were some of the best years of my life. I can still say this even 33 years later :-)

I couldn't figure out how to get email notifications from the settings, so I guess I'll just keep checking back here.

To the right of the "New Reply" button is another button that says "Topic Options" -- click on it and select "Add Topic to your Watched Topics".

Now click on the "My Stuff" button and select "Edit Preferences".

Scroll down and select "yes" where it says ---
"By default should anything added to your Watch Lists be emailed to you?"

Select "yes" again directly beneath where it says ---
"Do you want to be notified via email when you receive a private message?".

(Disclaimer: Never tried this myself so no guaranty it will work)

I don't know you so don't be personally offended, but I don't think many are going to be responsive to you showing up after a long absence and asking for money.
