Glad to know our Senators spent an entire week of their 93 days in session to debate and vote on 4 bills that they KNEW would not pass, sort of like spending time to repeal Obamacare knowing the President will veto and they don't have the votes to override....

The facts are pretty simple.
It's an election year. There is no way in hell they are going to piss off that many voters just before the general election. But you can damn sure bet they will pound their chests, claim they tried and blame it on someone else.

As someone already alluded to, gun related bills less than a year from election day have a hard time passing.
Not saying there might be a time and place for a gun watch list to figure in on the NICS. But the bad guy terrorist will only do that once and then go underground for guns via theft, black market or straw purchase.
