F Cop says first responders surrounded bathroom where Mateen was holed up, but told to wait | Fox News http://www.foxnews.com/us/2016/06/2...oled-up-but-told-to-wait.html?intcmp=hpbOkay, the cops and swat screwed this up from thd beginning and are responsible for the high death toll. This cop responded was there in 38 seconds and stormed the place with assault rifles with 4 other cops and was told to stand down by dumbfcks in swat. Our local force is trained to storm and shoot and everyone else better stay down. This police forcs and swat is a cluster.

The first four LEO's on the scene engaged the shooter until he retreated to the bathroom and took hostages.
Over the next three hours they were in and out, evacuating others, some of whom were wounded. They got hundreds of people out of the club
He didn't do much shooting beyond the first 10 minutes and the last 5 minutes.

One shot, one kill........ It saves a lot of ammo!

Well the cop in this article was frustrated at responding to the scene in 38 seconds, storming to within sight of the bathroom with 4 other cops all armed with assault rifles equal to the shooter and not being allowed to storm the guy and take him out. The one thing learned from Columbine was staying back and waiting costs lives. This was grossly mismanaged.

I do not see a problem with that at all.

In the first 38 seconds I doubt they knew whether he had either explosives or accomplices...either would have been a rude shock with devastating results far beyond the carnage the mongrel wrecked.
These are my opinions, feel free to disagree.

They thought he might be carrying explosives, and there was no sense in storming a small room with only one door to find out for sure. You're not being realistic about the situation
