Anyone here have any experience with them yet?

the 270gr copper series shoot great. I tried the 350gr lead version in the 1:28 twist rifles and they did horrible. 3 1/2" groups at 100 yards with a SCOPED inline and blackhorn209 powder. I think I had to lower the charge around 70gr which was pretty light.

Now I tried them in a 1:48 twist traditions flintlock hawken and that SOB shot those 350 grainers like a dream! Go figure.

I've decided that there ain't no figgering to this stuff. My old 1-48 Greyhawk shot the 350gr FPBs better than anything I ever tried, and in 20 years, I tried plenty. Then, on a whim, I tried some 250gr .452 XTPs in Harvester sabots, which supposedly shouldn't work, and the few I fired grouped just fine at 50 yards.

I suspect voodoo was involved.

I bought a new to me Omega this spring from Jersey, with a scope. Well I'm at 6000+ feet and I'm going to use it in Colorado where scopes and sabots are no-no's. Sighted in the Omega at 25 and it liked the Fed 270's and Hornady 300 FPB best. I've played with the FPB a little more cuz the are way cheaper, but looking to get the fed's back out at 100 yards soon, now that I found a powder that the Omega seems to like too.

It's only money and your time, try'em.
