It would already be in my gun safe...great buy. Depending on what barrel length they will often bring a grand...

I hope it's still there when you go back after it. A buddy of mine had a DW in 44mag that he carried when he and I floated Jay Massey's Moose John over 20 years ago. It was a great pistol then and still is today. That price is a steel IMO

Got a few things to see about trading for it, never owned a 41 before! I'm pretty partial to the 41. It can be safely loaded from mild to big azz hammer, has manageable recoil and lends itself to good accuracy. I have more than one. It's easy to load for. Just stay away from 800X. It has weird pressure issues. Hope you can score the DW.

.41 is easy to please, same as the .44. Could go loony and dive into meaningless, one sided, ballistic gack...but figure you're smart enough to know that .019 probably doesn't make that much difference outside the fever swamps of Africa...or even there.

OK I have the gun, now need to fig out how I want to carry it? anyone know if a Dan Wesson with fit in a MD29 or N frame holster? full lug barrel, so im not sure, thinking of maybe a tanker type holster, seems like alot of weight to hang off one side! Iv been into shorter barrels for along time and wish this one was a 4" instead of a 6"
