I love you guys, but it's obvious we ain't got the corner on screwed up politicians and liberals. Don't worry, Canada is FAR outpacing us. "The Government of Canada resettled 25,000 Syrian refugees between November 2015 and February 29, 2016. This included government-supported and privately sponsored refugees." 27,190 since November 2015 in Canada. http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/refugees/welcome/milestones.asp

I know, just like in the U.S. liberals are bent on destroying us, most are just pawns of the elite's and media buying everything they have to say. We even have some refugees here now in our small town in the middle of nowhere. While the U.S. has had socialist rule for the last 8 years we are just getting started with Trudeau. We had a good run with Stephen Harper and hope in 4 years the Liberals will be thrown out again.

I'm hoping that the western 4 provinces are no longer tied by the neck like a slave, to the east half of the country, before the time even comes to re-elect that clown. Our vote carries no clout, and our income gets taken away to pay for the liberal luxuries of the east. We've been the abused mule for long enough, time to wake up and decide that we don't have to take this crap.

If Canada doesn't want the western 4 provinces the US will take them. I always wanted to be able to drive to Alaska without leaving my handguns at home.... and the western part is by far the best part.

The US TRIED to "take them" several times since the beginnings of both Canada and the great Republic, but, got their asses handed to them every time.
REAL Canadians, not mugrunts, refugees and traitors DO NOT WANT to break up our great country and will shed blood to prevent this ever happening.
We do need a reform of our system and our process of electing MPs, etc, but, vile treachery is NOT the way.
To get this done, NO MORE immigration, especially from Asia, Africa and South America, etc. Then, NO "multiculturalism" or "bilingualism" and preferably repatriation of all "non-traditional" immigrants ASAP.
Traitors, "kill 'em all, let God sort 'em out".

REAL Canadians, not mugrunts, refugees and traitors DO NOT WANT to break up our great country and will shed blood to prevent this ever happening. I am a REAL Canadian, and my view of the current state of our country is similar to a marriage with a long history of abuse- sometimes it is better for everyone for the two parties to part ways. The Republic of Western Canada will be much better off once it is out of the current abusive relationship that it is in. Fortunately, I highly doubt it would come to blood shed. Thanks to Quebec, there are legal avenues for provinces to separate. We do need a reform of our system and our process of electing MPs, etc, but, vile treachery is NOT the way.

Those ideals are a lost cause in our current situation, but completely possible once we lose the dead weight of the east. A guy can flap his gums all day long about what needs to be done, but our votes are veto'd by the eastern provinces, which is only going to get worse once Justine makes his strategic changes to our electoral system, and Canada's majority support for him and his party is ensured. I hate to say it, but you will NEVER see the end of multiculturalism, bilingualism, or immigration in Canada's current arrangement and political system. We're culturally and socially too far gone, and we're outnumbered in the voting polls, and always have been, so our hands are tied from making any meaningful changes to suit our western culture and way of life. There is nothing vile or treacherous about deciding to look out for our neighbours and countrymen and stop the heavy-weights from the east from taking advantage of us. In fact, I would call loyalty to our neighbour and fellow western Canadians true Patriotism. We've tried all other alternatives, and separation is our last and only resort. To support the continuation of abuse of the west by staying in our current national arrangement is closer to fitting the definition of "traitor" than calling for the freedom of the west. Of course, we both love our country and want to see her best interest come to fruition, but our opinion of how to accomplish that differs. To subtly call posters in this very thread "traitors", and then call for the killing of all "traitors" is very blind and undemocratic. Adopting a "my way or the highway" mentality rarely results in favourable outcomes...

Sure would be nice if the Prairie Province's, BC, NT, and the YT could secede.
I know that when I lived in BC years ago that there was a huge fervor amongst those in the west to create a new country and tell the east to go jump in a lake.
James Pepper: There's no law west of Dodge and no God west of the Pecos. Right, Mr. Chisum? John Chisum: Wrong, Mr. Pepper. Because no matter where people go, sooner or later there's the law. And sooner or later they find God's already been there.

My opinion of course.. This mirrors my opinion fairly closely. I would be all for accepting like minded people from the east to move west and hope at least the radical leftists move out to the east. Somehow we need to get decent people back into the media, education system and the government bureaucracy (and a big reduction of it too). I realize this will probably never happen but one can hope and work towards that.

It's less about geography and more about organizing a nation of people who share similar cultural, social, and economic values.

The electoral system works like this Tories 35% rest 65%. If majority divides Tories win.

Wait for Trump. He'll take the western provinces and territories and exchange your Loonies for dollars at PAR. For those in western Canada that's almost a 25% bump in your wealth.
France can have the rest. Should be a real show.

You would think Canadians learned a valuable lesson after the first Trudeau. Now round two with another dim witted communist. We are really doomed for another 3 years until Canadians wake up for the the next election.

geez I could slobber over the thought of a free and independent Western Canada, particularly if you took AK along for the ride.
though I'm pretty enamored of our Constitution, I'm just stuck with a gov't that doesn't follow it.
I'm pretty certain when we sing our anthem and mention the land of the free, the original intent didn't mean cell phones, food stamps and birth control.
