What would be the approximate value of a 28-2 with a 6 inch barrel. No box, period correct wood grips, shot very little. Some blueing wear on end of barrel and around the cylinder like from a holster.
Got a line on one and trying to see if price is correct.
Thanks,
DR

I have no idea what a 6 inch value is but not a dime under $600.

Between $500 and $600 depending on condition. Prices on the N-frames aren't going down, and the 28-2, although not particularly uncommon, has increased in popularity and price over the past few years.

Wood grips should be numbered to the gun. Good condition $600 - $750

Well if the seller is asking $675 than he may take less. Go to the bank and get six $100 bills. The new type bills. A clean Highway Patrolman is worth every penny of $600. But let the horse trading bullschit start.

I'm trying to decide if I need this 4" Mod 28. It's a nice clean piece but the least he'll take so far is $725. It would really make a nice companion gun for my .44mag above it, and it would fit into the three holsters I have for the .44.....decisions, decisions.

OK, got a call this am. Seller said he would do 650.00 out the door. I now have a very clean 28-2, again after 26 years. Should have never sold the first one.
