I'm finding FF III's with the 3 MOA right at or slightly below $200 now (a little less if I finally use my dvor $$'s).
My gunnie's already told me to forget the Leupold.
Is it money well spent to move up to the RMR?

For my use, which is sporting, the FFs and Vortex sights are perfectly fine. If I were expecting to be in combat, a Trijicon or Aimpoint might be in order for their proven durability, or in the case of some RMR models,,the battery-free operation.
Even though others find the Bushnell sights to be okay, I had three consecutive specimens of one model, not a cheapo by the way, go tits up on me, so I can't recommend them.
What fresh Hell is this?

Thanks for the feedback, Pappy. Bushnell is out, then. I only quickly looked at the Vortex and don't know much about them, but I've been looking at the FF III and watching prices on them for a while.
Best price on the Vortex Razor is around $379. Can it be almost $200 better than a FF III?

The Venom is a lot less, $234 on Amazon, including a hat, but they don't say anything about including a mount. I have a Sparc 2 tube type which is great on a rifle, but too heavy IMHO for a handgun. I'd get a FFIII, myself at that price.

What's wrong with the Leupold? I've got one on my Glock 19 and it works like a charm.

Nothing but the price, I suspect.

Not sure what your application is, but the FF3 is taller in the base area and doesn't co-witness with low irons (i.e. centerfire pistols). The RMR and old Leupo DP have less bulk. The DP is discontinued now though, and replaced with the DP Pro. Since this is the Rimfire forum, the co-witness issue probably doesn't apply, but figured I'd throw that out there.
I've had an FF3 for awhile with no complaints so far, but haven't owned it that long.

Have a couple fast fires. No issues. One on a Kimber .45, and one on a Ruger markII .22. For $200 they can't be beat.
