Thanks Tom.

Jeff, these fish I've been catching & posting are from Route Lake. There is an outfitter on this lake, (Route Lake Lodge) & it is drive to, boat across to their Island camp.

Camp is about 30 miles north of Dryden.

Lake has walleye, Northern Pike, Lake Trout & Perch.

Food for thought.

Hi Paul,

I have some interest in this as well. I've been taking my kids to WI for a week each year but since I've never been to Canada for fishing, it may be a great time for a family trip up there.

Do you know much about this outfitter?

Personally, I do not know him.

Have spoken to him, a number of times, in the spring when ice fishing & he is running the ice, getting stuff to camp. Did hear recently that the camp is for sale for a tidy sum !

Beautiful lake & area & also close enough to town to shop, go to church or whatever !

I miss Grizzly Bill also.
The older you get the more your perspective on life changes to a more mellow state.
I crossed 75 last week.
I think of things I once did easily and I think "Hell , ain't no way I could do that today."
I don't get on here much. I keep up with several of you on Facebook.
Enjoy the summer.

Is there any Campfire interest in getting a group together for a fishing trip to Canada?

A get together north of the border for some of the Minnesota boys would be a great time..........

Tom said he'd clean all the fish for us-really! I heard him say it.....

Jeez, he'd be pretty busy between cleaning all the fish, doing all the cooking, and washing all the dishes......

I was thinking you might want to go too. Why don't you just buy about 200 McDoubles, a gunny sack of fries, and a keg of Dew, slap it on the table, and say sayanora?

I had a guy I used to work with that used to do a houseboat trip on the Kabetogama lake system up there. He and his buddies were hard core drinkers. They always got a houseboat with one more cabin than they actually needed so they'd have room to store the booze! They had 6 guys usually and figured a case of beer per man per day plus the hard stuff and the mixers. They'd board the boat with close to 40 cases of beer and two cases of booze!
