His choices were clearly all wrong. Choice of ammo and cartridge yielded a very small wound with limited penetration. He should review some data and try it again.
Placement should be higher and just a little further back. Larger cartridge, bullet diameter, and quality expanding bullets so that a real impression will be made.

Damn shame... Yeah, that would have been more bang for the buck with a 480 Ruger.  He wouldn't be swallowing THAT bullet.
