Haven't seen this posted yet. Looks like the return of the All-Weather Hawkeye in a different package. Don't know if FTW is supposed to meen Featherweight because at around 8lbs naked they are not. Nice looking rifles though. http://www.ruger.com/products/HawkeyeFTWHunter/models.html

"The Hawkeye FTW Predator rifle design began with extensive on-range consultation with SAAM (Sportsman's All-weather, All-terrain Marksmanship) shooting instructors at the world-renowned FTW Shooting School in Barksdale, Texas."

Wieland did an article in the last Rifle and after moaning about the sad state of all things Hawkeye, decided he liked the FTW pretty well. One comment was about the flawless function of his specimen, which agrees with my experience with the two I have.
The FTW has the same stock as one of the Hawkeye Predators, but painted over, and lacks the two-stage trigger. The LC6 on his came in at 3lbs 12oz, the same as my All Weather .243, and was as very crisp. A simple spring change should lighten that up a bit.
What fresh Hell is this?

I've never been a muzzle brake fan, but I like the system on this one. Seems well thought out. I priced one at the dealer and it was around $925.
