Guy at the local shop has a Mossberg 44 U.S. for sale. Not marked US Property. Has an NC Star scope and same brand of bi-pod clamped to the barrel.
Very clean gun. Peep is gone and has the proper scope mount attached to side of receiver. Front sight removed and a block in its place. Has magazine. Trigger guard not cracked.
Says he would let me have it for $250. Sell the pods and ditch the cheap scope to help with net purchase price.
Anything else I should look for on the gun or should I pass on it.
Any peeps to be bought out there??

You should be able to get a US Property stamped model for close to that and have the proper sites. I just sold one as such about 9 months ago for just a little more than the one you list in your post. The mags are a bonus as they are getting a bit pricey to buy by themselves these days.
