Arguably the one of the finest revolvers Smith and Wesson ever made. The Model 15 Combat Masterpiece.

Arguably the one of the finest revolvers Smith and Wesson ever made. The Model 15 Combat Masterpiece. I had one in the 80's, some department trade in. What it would do with 148gr wadcutters was amazing. It was easily the most accurate revolver I have ever owned.

Damn Steelhead, you are hurting me.......... I like that one too much.

Made in 1966.
I'm obviously a sucker for 38's and the market ain't caught up with them yet.
I realized I'd need to sell 1/2 dozen of these to even think about being able to afford a Diamondback, but I'll suffer through.

Arguably the one of the finest revolvers Smith and Wesson ever made. The Model 15 Combat Masterpiece. Yep. Very cool. I have a blue one and a stainless one. I like that nickel one, though.

I have a M15, they are fantastic revolvers. Congrats on a beauty!

That's as nice a condition 15 as I recall seeing.
My police turn in 15 with 148 gr wadcutters has been a great centerfire handgun for new shooters. My wife, daughter, son and friends that had never shot one have all shot it surprisingly well, to them, with 148 gr wadcutters.

that is an excellent find. Hard to resist those old smiths, so much better than the current crop. Those wadcutters are dead butt accurate.

It's hard to not love the 38. I really have no need for a 357. If I need more than the 38 I'll use a 44.
I love being able to load about a zillion rounds with a pound of Unique.

i have been somewhat screwing around with two molds, one is the 358156, which cast a 160grain, and a similar keith style bullet in another mold at 170 grains. I can run both fast enough that they go "smack" when they hit something. I have a couple of other wadcutter molds that run from 144 grain up to 160grain. they are just great fun in these 38's. we seem collectively to pander to the word magnum. It doesn't really have to be "magnum" to work for purpose intended.

I love being able to load about a zillion rounds with a pound of Unique. I could probably cast bullets or load them all day long. Everyone in the house has got a 38 - including the kid. Round here it's bullseye. Getting about 2,200+ rounds off a pound.
