Hello all, I came across a 2.5-10 Bushnell Elite 4500 (ballistic reticle) today on a rifle priced fairly decent at one of my local pawn shops.
I was wondering if anyone had any firsthand experience with the 4500s, and what you thought. I tried searching for reviews online, and they were few and far between, and not especially comprehensive.
Many thanks!

I had a 2.5-10x40 with the DOA600.
The glass was great. I don't know that I would give it any more than an older 4200. But I couldn't get into the DOA reticle.

No complaints with Bushnell Elite 4200's I've owned, I would assume the newer 4500 would be just as good if not a little better.

My experience is with 4200 4-16X40. To me they are fantastic.

Never tried the 4500 but 6x24x40 and 4x16x40 4200's that i have are some of my favorite scopes. I would to another in either power.

I have a couple of the 4200 and they easily match the optics of my many leupold. They have hunted Ak in crap weather and delivered the goods. So far I have not had any mechanical problems. I have heard nothing bad about the 4500 series, but I do not own any, yet.

I do not have the 4500, but I have really liked my older Bushnell Elite scopes. I have not had one problem with them and I think they are really kind of overlooked for their value. I have one with the BDC on a 7 mag and it is spot on to 600. I also have a couple 3x9s that have been perfect. The best part of all, is that I got them at employee discount when my wife worked at Cabela's.

4200's are great scopes, the ER could be longer.
It will be interesting to see a comparison, 4500 with 4200.
The 4200 is Japanese, hope the 4500 isn't Chinese.
