I don't cast my own but anyone have recommendations for commercial cast .416 (for a Rigby) bullets? A quick search found a couple places that sell such:
Beartooth Bullets Western Bullets
Any experience with those or experience with other providers?

And this^^^ Beartooth Bullets has a fine product, but is a one-man operation. Company slogan is "A Bullet worth waiting for". They are. CastPerfomance has a good product, too. I rate them, accuracy-wise, with the BB products, but they do not come in as many sizes. I can only get .459" for my .45-70, whereas with Beartooth a .460" bullet is available. Beartooth also has .432" that work great in my Ruger 44 maganums.

Can anyone confirm or deny that Beartooth Bullets is the primary supplier for Buffalo Bore? They seem to match in
-weights -appearance of portion exposed when loaded -advertised hardness (which is an unusual figure in the industry)
I've been interested in Buffalo Bore, but suspect some (most...all) of his loadings are hotter than I want to run, and as a reloader, paying >$1/round is not really attractive.

I believe Buffalo Bore gets their bullets from Rimrock Bullets, I shoot RR's 340 gr bullet in a 10.5" Ruger 44 mag revolver, it's a very consistently accurate bullet, I only load it to around 1250 fps, but I have to believe nothing in this country will contain it, save maybe a length ways moose or elk.

Just wanted to say to all I appreciate the input.
DD/Gunner- I don't think it'd be the .416 that gets me as far as casting goes but a couple handguns might.

I spoke with Mrs Beartooth a couple days ago to make an order. She confirmed they're running 6 months behind on orders. They sure are nice bullets though, sized as you want.

You'll get over that some day. Yup, the only way to make sure you get what you want, when you want it, available in the future and taylored to your gun in terms of alloy, harness, size and lube is to cast your own. It's a pretty minimal investment. Casting equipment and especially molds have excellent resale. You could buy a mold, cast up a lifetime supply of bullets, and sell the mold and you'll be out less money than one box of commercial cast bullets.

I'm a Beartooth guy. and yes, they are always painful slow in delivery. why Marshall wont hire a guy to help him out, I'm not sure. taken several deer + pigs with their stuff out of our .357 and .44 levers. Definitely a two-hole blood trail every time.
