Anyone with experience with coyotes and a .300BO? What bullet do you prefer? Has anyone tried a heavy bullet seated backwards?

Are you killing coyotes to just kill them or are you hide hunting?

Scott F,
I think I would like to hide hunt. For sure I want to go hunting more than I do while waiting for deer and elk season.

Mine likes the 208gr ELD, with 9.6 gr of Trail Boss. Have not shot a coyote with it though. Also, try a 170gr Sierra flat nose. They do great in my SS 308 Win.

The 220 grain Outlaw State bullets arrived. I am very surprised at the sleek shape. They're supposed to open clear down to 850 feet per second.

Today I fired some of the Outlaw State Bullets 220 sub-sonic bullets. They averaged 1,089 feet per second. The real surprise came after I sighted it in for 100 yards. They were about three feet low at 200 yards. They are about as loud as .45ACP. Hopefully the suppressor will silence it.
